Innovative: This maxi garden bag is not only suitable for collecting and transporting large quantities of leaves, grass cuttings and garden waste, but also serves as a composter once it has been filled.
Function: Oxygen is needed for the decomposition of organic material, or composting. Our Masgard® compost bags are made of a breathable, high-quality fleece material - unlike conventional garden bags, leaf bags or lawn bags, which are made of airtight PE film.
This creates the ideal climate for composting. Air can penetrate and water can escape, supporting the composting process and preventing rotting.
The advantages:
- large capacity 343 litres
- breathable fleece material that allows air and water to pass through it
- exceptionally light and easy to handle
- odour generation during the composting process is reduced
- can be folded and stowed easily and quickly
- reusable
Features:
- sturdy, square basic shape
- two handles
- reinforced seams
Material:
- 100% polypropylene

Notes on how to proceed:
1. Use as a garden bag:
The new Masgard® compost bag serves the same purpose as a conventional garden bag for collecting grass, leaves, and other compost material. The compost bag can be hauled around the garden by its handles while mowing the lawn or raking leaves and filled gradually.
2. Composting:
Once filled, the Masgard® compost bag does not need to be emptied. Simply place it in a shady place that is protected from the wind for composting.
3. Refilling:
The compost material will collapse in on itself after a few weeks. New compost material can then be added on top. This way, around three to four times the quantity of grass cuttings or leaves can be loaded in over several months.
4. Compost removal:
Shift the Masgard® compost bag slightly if necessary, so that air and oxygen also penetrate from below. Once the composting process is complete, the compost can be removed. To do so, simply tip the compost bag to the side and empty it.
5. Reuse:
You can now simply clean the Masgard® compost bag and then use it again.
